I took the Ryobi cutter along the river and found a Ranger-sized path. We got a tree puller, and have started clearing out the smaller trees by popping them out of the ground. Very fun!

Clean Bench
I pressure washed a few of the benches to see how well the pressure washer would clean them. Pretty well!

Farmhouse Recovery – Roof Edition
We removed some massively overgrown yew and arborvitae — before, you could barely see the house through the plants
And now, we’ve got a house again

It’s Alive!
We got the battery finalized on the Ranger, and it’s driving beautifully! Turns out they had two of the buttons reversed on the dash (?!?!)
Benches
My mom’s dad had a stroke later in life, so he had trouble getting around his property. Having someplace to sit was vital to being able to continue enjoying his property … I always wanted to do something similar for our property. We found an auction for dozens of benches at a nearby university — getting them home is an undertaking, and they need some cleanup. But we absolutely will have some place to sit anywhere on the farm now!
Polaris Ranger Lithium Conversion – Battery Mount
We made a quick, temporary battery mount to get our Ranger going – a rectangle of OSB with a few strips of 1×2 screwed in to hold the battery in place.
There’s a ratchet strap around the whole thing to ensure the battery stays on the board, and the board is screwed into the frame. Wired up, and we are driving!
