Library Adventure
Scott went to a whiskey tasting with a friend, so I drove everyone downtown. Anya and I visited the main branch of the Cleveland library (where she happily read a few books until it was time to pick them up). Wandering around the building, though, we found a few art installations. This one was really cool — and would be a neat way to dry herbs!
Orchard – Mulched
Anya and I got the orchard mulched today — ten blueberries, three seaberries, three honey berries, a cherry, a fig, two pawpaws, two currants, three gooseberries, and seven raspberries.
Mushrooms
When I went to let the birds out today, a whole forest of mushrooms had sprouted.

We picked up a cool woodworking tool at a local auction — it’s a lathe, table saw, and drill press all in one!

All of our hazelnut bushes are ready to pollinate flowers in spring!
Next Year’s Corn
We let a number of corn cobs dry in the field to harvest seeds for next year. The kernels pop off the cob easily when they are dry enough. If it’s even a little hard to remove, I just let the cob sit for another few days and tried again. We’ve got lots of super sweet corn ready to plant next year.
Did you know … Teams can automatically record meetings you schedule?
I don’t record all of my meetings — I probably don’t even record most of my meetings. But I schedule the occasional training session. And it really sucks when no one remembers to start recording … and we realize we missed the first fifteen minutes or so. Luckily, Teams has added an option to automatically record a meeting when it starts. No needing to remember to click record. No worrying that no one else thinks to kick off the recording if you are a bit late. When scheduling a meeting through Teams, there are a few settings on the right-hand side of the new meeting form. Simply toggle ‘Record automatically’ to on.
Voila — when I start the meeting, it immediately starts recording.
