There&#8217;s the technique where you hold alt, hit the plus on your numeric keypad, enter the hex code for the character, then release the alt key. Since a lot of laptops don&#8217;t <em>have<\/em> numeric keypads &#8230; this approach isn&#8217;t always feasible.<\/p>\n<p>But there&#8217;s another way &#8212; once you&#8217;ve typed the hex code and your cursor is immediately after the code, press Alt-x &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/?attachment_id=8595\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8595\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8595\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/UnicodeA.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"113\" height=\"76\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The code magics itself into a Unicode character.
