{"id":8428,"date":"2021-11-28T19:32:47","date_gmt":"2021-11-29T00:32:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/?p=8428"},"modified":"2021-11-28T20:07:57","modified_gmt":"2021-11-29T01:07:57","slug":"magic-dust-bbq-seasoning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/?p=8428","title":{"rendered":"Magic Dust BBQ Seasoning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is based on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/recipes\/mike-mills-magic-dust-wbrp37874288\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recipe from Mike Mills<\/a> &#8212; who owned a BBQ joint in Illinois &#8212; that I used with the turkey injection sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup paprika<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup salt<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup maple sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp ground mustard seed<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 c chili powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>ground hot pepper flakes to taste &#8212; about 1 Tbsp for me<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I ground the mustard seed and black peppers in the mortar. My maple sugar had some hard lumps, so I tossed the mustard, pepper, and maple sugar into the mortar and broke up the chunks.
