{"id":7602,"date":"2021-03-28T12:43:19","date_gmt":"2021-03-28T17:43:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/?p=7602"},"modified":"2024-01-12T15:56:14","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T20:56:14","slug":"55-days-of-grilling-march-27-apple-upside-down-pancake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/?p=7602","title":{"rendered":"55 Days of Grilling: March 27 &#8212; Apple Upside-down (Pan)Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We made apple upside-down pancake for breakfast using the buttermilk pancake mix I&#8217;d put together a few weeks ago:<\/p>\n<p>2c flour<br \/>\n1t baking powder<br \/>\n1t baking soda<br \/>\n1\/2t salt<br \/>\n2c buttermilk<br \/>\n1\/4c maple syrup<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n2T oil<br \/>\n1T vanilla<\/p>\n<p>Anya sliced two apples into fairly thick rings. Scott melted about a tablespoon of butter in the bottom of a cast iron skillet. Closed the lid of the grill and cooked it for about 15 minutes &#8212; until the edges solidified &#8212; around 450F. The cake was cooked for about five more minutes on the half-sheet. Needs more apple next time!
