Select \u201cSettings\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"457\" height=\"395\" class=\"wp-image-5393\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-26.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-26.png 457w, https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-26-300x259.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 457px) 100vw, 457px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click on \u201cNotifications\u201d. You will be presented with a long list of activities and can select the type of notification you wish to receive for each activity. Notice \u201cShow only in feed\u201d is now an option \u2013 this means new activity will appear in the \u201cActivity\u201d section of Teams but <em>not<\/em> display the big purple notification box (a.k.a. \u201cthe banner\u201d) in the lower right-hand corner of your screen.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1003\" height=\"897\" class=\"wp-image-5394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-27.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-27.png 1003w, https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-27-300x268.png 300w, https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-27-768x687.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1003px) 100vw, 1003px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can also customize notifications for individual channels \u2013 maybe you <em>want<\/em> a banner notification for a really important channel, or you don\u2019t want to be notified about every reply to a message. Click the ellipsis next to the channel name and select \u201cChannel notifications\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"665\" height=\"289\" class=\"wp-image-5395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-28.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-28.png 665w, https:\/\/www.rushworth.us\/lisa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/word-image-28-300x130.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 665px) 100vw, 665px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Here you can customize the notification you will receive for channel posts and at-mentions (you\u2019ll still get notified about <em>Team<\/em> or individual at-mentions). Channels that you weren&#8217;t following will have notifications off. Newly created channels will have new post notifications turned off and channel mentions set to \u201cOnly show in feed\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>** If you still see \u201cFollow\u201d and not \u201cChannel Notifications\u201d, click on your avatar in the upper right-hand corner of the Teams app and select \u201cCheck for updates\u201d.
