When information is posted that doesn\u2019t really warrant a response beyond \u201cyup, I read this\u201d \u2013 use the like button instead of replying \u201cgot it\u201d or \u201cyup, I did this\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Why? When everyone replies to an informational post, you can end up with a LOT of replies. Each new reply moves the post down to the bottom of the channel (and alerts anyone following the channel of new activity). Do twenty people <em>really<\/em> need to know you\u2019ve read the post? Anyone who <em>doesn\u2019t<\/em> \u2026 well, clicking \u2018like\u2019 doesn\u2019t count as new activity so the thread isn\u2019t considered unread. Activity notification is only generated for the person who wrote the post.
