I used a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.distinctivefabric.com\/minky-shag-snuggle-60-inch.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">minky fur in camel<\/a> for the body and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.distinctivefabric.com\/sldlghrfur1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">long-haired fur in camel<\/a> for the mane and fur accents. The costume is just a shirt and pants made with minky fabric. For the pants, I used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fleecefun.com\/childs-fleece-pants-pattern-and-tutorial.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a free pattern from FunFleece<\/a> &#8212; where the pattern says you\u00a0<em>can<\/em> cut the pieces simultaneously on folded fabric, it should indicate that you need to cut two\u00a0<em>mirrored<\/em>. If you cut on folded fabric, it is mirrored by design. If you cut two pieces separately &#8230; well, it won&#8217;t go together well, you&#8217;ll have to rip the seam, and then cut one the right way. No reason I know this \ud83d\ude42 Once I had\u00a0<em>mirrored<\/em> pieces, it was a quick job to serge it together, fold the waistband, insert elastic, and stitch the band together. The legs were quite long, so there is a 1.5&#8243; folded hem at the bottom that can be let out as she grows.\u00a0 The shirt is a pattern I drafted based on one of her long sleeved t-shirts.<\/p>\n<p>The mane is a large rectangle with each side serged to keep the fur from shedding <em>everywhere<\/em>.\u00a0It is serged together under her chin and tucked both sides of her forehead to fit the opening to her face. The back is opened so the mane pulls on easily. I used a few <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Plastic-Multicolor-Crafting-Knitting-Quilting\/dp\/B01LX8WVVZ\/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_201_lp_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&amp;psc=1&amp;refRID=KC1J3P7ZQKK8AMME34A8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sewing clips<\/a> to pull it together.<\/p>\n<p>I cut small elongated trapezoids of the long fur fabric and serged them together to make a cuff. They just slip over her hand like a bracelet.
